What does Milaan stand for?
Milaan is the Sanskrit word for ‘to meet’, and it aligns with our vision to facilitate the introduction of like minded people together.

Milaan is a combination of a match making service, dating app and events company, utilizing the power of technology and psychology to forge genuine connections. Instead of endless swiping, being shown prospective profiles which don’t meet your requirements, wondering if the other person is real, we do the work and only connect you with someone who meets your criteria, in real life.

Our platform goes beyond the typical boundaries of a dating app. No repeatedly typing about yourself, no awkward pauses in the conversation wondering if you’ve been ghosted or realizing that person who you’ve spent time trying to connect with was not authentic. Meet them at a safe, secure and fun event we host for a 1:1 45 minute date to get to know them and see if there is a connection.

Is Milaan targeted for a specific ethnic community or sexual orientation?
Milaan is targeted to all South Asian individuals of all ages, demographics and backgrounds. We are not associated with any religion nor are our members composed of any single religion or community. Milaan accepts members of all religions, backgrounds and sexual orientations. However, you will only be matched with someone who meets your criteria, if that includes community/religious/sexual preferences. We focus on what you’re looking for in a partner.
How old do you have to be to use Milaan?
You must be at least 18 years old to use Milaan.

Which cities do you operate in?
Right now, we only operate in the greater Toronto area (GTA). We are incubating our idea before expanding broadly across Canada, US and the UK. Additional markets will be added shortly.

What are the Milaan membership options?
Signing up is absolutely free! As we work to validate our idea, you only pay a small fee to attend the event for your 45-minute date.
Do you have a mobile app?
The registration process has been optimized for a web experience, either on a computer or mobile device. We will be adding a mobile app shortly.

Membership & Costs
Is joining Milaan really free?
Joining the Milaan community is absolutely free. After completing our sign-up process, we start looking for compatible matches, you’ll be invited to meet your match at a Milaan hosted event for a 45 minute date to start building a real connection. You only pay for the event to meet your match and prices vary based on the event experience.

What forms of payment can I pay with?
We accept all major credit/debit cards and PayPal
How will charged appear on my bank statement?
Charge will appear as "MILAAN” or "WWW.MILAANMATCH.COM"
Safety
Is my information safe with Milaan?
We wouldn’t be in business without the trust of our members. We don’t sell your information and are transparent on how we use it outlined in our Terms and conditions and privacy policies.
How do you handle fake profiles?
We don’t have profiles like other apps to scroll through. Our business is connecting people who are mutually compatible at our safe, secure and fun events. Participants are required to show government ID when onboarding which is validated against their profile with us.
If something doesn’t line up, they will be asked to leave the event without participating.
Event
How often will I be invited to an event?
Invitation to an event is only sent when there is a potential match for you and are not guaranteed nor sent on a particular schedule. We will notify you when a match has been met and invite you to meet them at our private event.

How secure is your event?
At event registration, our host verifies the details of each participant against a piece of government issued ID to ensure they are authentic. Events are also run in inclusive safe spaces with a zero tolerance for any negative behavior.

What if the event is postponed or cancelled?
We only invite you to an event once there is a prospective match for you. Cancellation or postponement will only occur due to situations like weather or natural disasters. In those rare situations we will announce a new event as soon as possible and transfer your attendance to that event.
What kind of people can I meet at your events?
The unique aspect of our events is you only meet people that you have specified as your requirements AND are compatible with you based on our personality algorithm. Each date is designed to be entertaining with plenty of ice breakers for you to get to know your date in a short, 45-minute span.
How often can I meet someone new?
Your invitation to events only happens when someone new is available for you to meet, based on your criteria and our personality algorithm. The more open-minded you are in a partner, the more opportunities you will have to attend our events.
What if I’m not vibing with my match?
We are sorry to hear, we try our best to connect you with someone based on your requirements and personality test match, unfortunately not everything can be determined on paper.
What is the cost to register?
Events vary based on venue/activity. Before confirming your registration, all details will be shared and let you confirm.

Do I get anything with my event ticket?

What if you can't match me with someone?
We are always looking to find you a compatible match based on your requirements and personality match. The more open-minded you are in a partner; the more options will be available.
How long is the date?
At our events, you will be on a date for 45 minutes. Just enough time to see if you are vibing with that someone and want to continue to a second date but not long enough to be awkward.
